Kamloops Mounties are asking for the public’s help identifying two vehicles involved in a drive-by shootout over the weekend on the North Shore.

In a news release, police said officers were called to the 100-block of Oak Road, to a residence known to police, after receiving a report of shots fired just before 7:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Officers confirmed multiple shots had been fired but determined no injuries were sustained.

Both suspect vehicles fled the scene north on Tranquille Road, police said.

“The investigation indicates this was targeted,” RCMP Cpl. James Grandy said in a news release.

“Incidents such as this pose a danger to everyone in the community, and we’re doing everything we can to identify them.”

The suspects fled in a green four-door sedan and a small, white four-door car.

In May, Kamloops Mounties warned the public to keep their distance from two men said to be on opposite sides of a drug-trade conflict that has increased the threat to public safety.

Anyone with information regarding the suspects, the vehicles, or who witnessed the incident, is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
