Teen hit by vehicle, injured

A Kamloops teen was taken to hospital last weekend after being struck by a vehicle on Fortune Drive, police say.

According to Mounties, emergency crews were called to a stretch of Fortune Drive near Leigh Road at about 8:45 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27.

RCMP Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said a youth was crossing the street when they were struck by a northbound vehicle.

“The youth was taken to hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries,” she said.
