Boy, 11, struck in crosswalk
by Tim Petruk · CastanetAn 11-year-old boy who was struck by an SUV Thursday in a crosswalk in Brocklehurst is expected to make a full recovery, police say.
According to Kamloops Mounties, emergency crews were called just after 8 a.m. to the corner of Tranquille Road and Windbreak Street.
RCMP Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said the boy was hit while crossing the street in a crosswalk.
“The youth was transported to hospital with injuries and is expected to recover,” she said.
Investigators are still looking to speak with witnesses or anyone who might have dash-cam or security video footage. Anyone with information can call police at 250-828-3000.
