Motorcyclist killed in crash

A man is dead following a weekend motorcycle crash in the Lac Le Jeune Road area, police say.

According to Mounties, officers received a missing-persons report just before midnight on Sunday after a man in his 60s failed to return home from a motorcycle ride.

“Frontline officers and the RCMP Air Services patrolled the area near Timber Lake and Lac Le Jeune where he was known to frequent, but the man was not located,” RCMP Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said in a news release.

The man was found on Monday afternoon.

“Sadly, the man and his yellow Harley-Davidson motorcycle were located off of the roadway and appear to have crashed,” Evelyn said.

“We are asking anyone who may have observed the victim riding in the area or has dash-camera footage available that could be related to please contact police as soon as possible.”
