Police say one person was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a crash in the east end of downtown Kamloops on Wednesday afternoon.

Mounties said the crash happened at about 12:35 p.m. in the 1200-block of Battle Street.

A driver allegedly struck a parked vehicle, which caused their own vehicle to flip over.

“The driver was taken to hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries,” the statement said.

Police said a secondary collision was reported on the opposite side of the road, but it had cleared once officers arrived.
