FC Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has made what SPORT and Radio Catalunya reported as being two "new signings" for his coaching team.

The ex-Bayern Munich boss is currently performing wonders in the Montjuic Stadium hotseat.

Despite his new employers only being able to pull off two transfers this summer thanks to financial hamstrings, he has the Catalans top of La Liga at the expense of title holders Real Madrid with a Clasico beckoning later this month.

Injuries are also piling up, but Flick has been commended by president Laporta for not making excuses and getting on with the job, while the players have evidently bought into his philosophy with results speaking for themselves.

Barca have managed to acquire Wojciech Szczesny outside of the transfer window in special circumstances thanks to what could turn out to be a season-ending injury to goalkeeper and captain Marc-Andre Ter Stegen causing him to leave the pitch in a 5-1 win at Villarreal on a stretcher in tears.

Elsewhere, though, Flick has also made other hires for his coaching staff who are namely Stephan Nopp and Michael Hasemann.

As SPORT explains, Nopp is an analyst who along with Flick formed part of the German national team that won the World Cup in 2014 on the orders of Joachim Low.

Flick reportedly has a lot of confidence in Nopp because of how he studies opponents, and he will act as a link between the club's analysts and the manager.

Hasemann is a youngster in managerial terms aged just 26. While he is currently still training as a coach, he is a specialist in analysis who Flick vouched for himself.

These appointments join three men that Flick immediately brought with him to Catalonia this summer in Marcus Sorg, Toni Tapalovic and Heiko Westermann.

Recently-retired midfielder Thiago Alcantara, with whom he won the treble at Bayern in 2020, was also incorporated while also acting as a translator.

And though the former Spain international with Brazilian roots had to return to England for tax-related reasons, it is said that he could once again work with the Blaugrana in early 2025.
