What Happened To Leo And Brittany From ‘Love Is Blind’ Season 7? Why Producers Cut Them Out

Brittany Wisniewski and Leo Braudy got engaged in Season 7 of Love Is Blind on Netflix, but some viewers were left wondering what happened after producers stopped following the couple after they left the pods.

In the first batch of episodes released on Netflix on Oct. 2, fans watched as the pair got to know each other in the pods, got engaged, and met for the first time. However, in an unprecedented move, the show’s producers chose to stop documenting their love story after that point.

“Brittany and Leo were not one of the six couples chosen by producers to continue their journey in Mexico,” the card shown midway through the fifth episode read. “They took their own trip to Mexico and broke off their engagement weeks later.”

Love is Blind creator and executive producer Chris Coelen revealed to Variety the reason why the dating show chose to stop featuring the couple in later episodes of the show.

“There are different ways that non-scripted shows are produced. Sometimes you have an idea of where things are going while you’re filming. And we don’t. We film everything as it happens, and then after it ends, we piece together how we got there,” Coelen explained. “We have the budget to follow five couples and sometimes we stretch to six couples, and we figure out how to stack our crews.”

What Happened To Leo and Brittany From Love Is Blind Season 7?

Leo and Brittany are no longer together from Love Is Blind Season 7. In separate interviews with People, the couple confirmed they broke off their engagement in Miami following the show.

“We had a really wonderful time in Miami, and at the end of it, although we had an amazing time, we just decided that we didn’t see ourselves really proceeding with a full engagement leading to marriage and we’re just better off as friends,” Braudy said.

Meanwhile, Wisniewski explained that the first few days with Braudy were “so much fun,” but then things started to get real. “You feel a little settled in and you just know when you’re in someone’s presence, little quirks that maybe get on your nerves and vice versa. The physical connection just simply wasn’t there, honestly,” she revealed.

Ultimately, they both concluded that they didn’t see their relationship turning into marriage. “The chemistry just wasn’t there. We had a talk in the beginning about how this could work and then time went on during the trip and the chemistry just wasn’t there and we mutually felt that,” Wisniewski added.

How Did Leo and Brittany React To Getting Cut From Love Is Blind Season 7?

Brittany and Leo revealed they were “crushed” and “disappointed” after not being invited to Cabo with the other Love is Blind couples who got engaged in the pods.

“Who doesn’t want to go to Cabo with all these new friends you’ve made and your fiancée, and then also all of the other women that you’re interested in seeing what they look like? I’d seen the show. It looks so fun and amazing and special, so I was totally crushed,” Braudy admitted.

Although Wisniewski recognized that she and Leo were the weakest link, she still felt disappointed due to the strong connections she had built with others on the show.

“Let’s just be honest, I was the only one that didn’t say, “I love you” back to the person I was engaged to, so I was not surprised,” she revealed.

The next three episodes Love Is Blind Season 7 will drop on October 9, 2024.
