India thrashed Bangladesh by 133 runs in the third and final T20I of the three-match series at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Saturday (October 12) to complete a 3-0 cleansweep. The hosts registered a thumping win in the final T20I of the series after winning the toss and electing to bat first. Riding on Sanju Samson's maiden T20I hundred, India scored 297/6, their highest total in T20 Internationals. Hardik Pandya showed why he is one of the best finishers in the house.

In response to India's towering total, Bangladesh were bowled out for 164 and claimed a huge win to finish the series on an absolute high. While Samson might have failed to create a lasting impact as an opener in his first two chances in this series, he did not let this one go away and smashed 111 off 47, getting recognised as the Player Of The Match.

Hardik may have been overlooked by the selectors who appointed Suryakumar Yadav India's T20I captain ahead of him but he proved his utility yet again in the shortest format and bagged the Player Of the Series award. He scored 47 off 18 balls in the series finale to finish the bilateral arrangement with 118 runs in three matches at a strike rate of 222.64. In addition, he had a wicket against his name for his efforts with the ball.
