SportsLine's advanced model has locked in its Week 6 NFL betting picks from 10,000 simulations

· CBS Sports

Cincinnati has had one of the most frustrating starts to the season of any team in the NFL, losing four games by a combined 15 points heading into the Week 6 NFL schedule. They racked up 520 total yards in a 41-38 loss to Baltimore last week, as quarterback Joe Burrow had his best performance of the season. The Bengals will try to bounce back when they visit the Giants as 3.5-point favorites in the Week 6 NFL odds for Sunday Night Football. New York is 1-14 in primetime games under quarterback Daniel Jones, so should you fade the Giants with your Week 6 NFL best bets?

There are two matchups between teams with winning records this weekend, including Dallas (3-2) vs. Detroit (3-1) on Sunday. The Lions are 3-point road favorites in the Week 6 NFL spreads following their 42-29 win over the Seahawks in Week 4 and an ensuing bye last week. All of the Week 6 NFL lines are listed below, and SportsLine's advanced computer model has all the NFL betting advice and NFL predictions you need to make the best Week 6 NFL picks now.

The model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, is up well over $7,000 for $100 players on top-rated NFL picks since its inception. The model enters Week 6 of the 2024 NFL season on an incredible 10-2 hot streak on top-rated NFL picks this year. Longer term, it is on a 191-131 roll on top-rated NFL picks that dates back to the 2017 season and a 45-23 roll on top-rated NFL picks since Week 7 of 2022.

The model also ranked in the top 10 on NFLPickWatch four of the past six years on straight-up NFL picks and beat more than 94% of CBS Sports Football Pick'em players four times during that span. Anyone who has followed it is way up.

Now, it has turned its attention to the latest Week 6 NFL odds and NFL betting lines on the spread, money line and over/under, and locked in picks for every NFL matchup. Head here to see every pick.

Top Week 6 NFL predictions

We can tell you one of the model's strongest Week 6 NFL picks is that the Falcons (-6, 46.5) cover the spread versus the Panthers. Carolina's offense looked anemic with Andy Dalton under center in last week's loss to the Chicago Bears. Dalton completed 18 of 28 passes for 136 yards and one interception in the 36-10 setback. Running back Chuba Hubbard was the lone bright spot for the Panthers with 97 rushing yards and a touchdown.

However, Carolina's defense was exposed in last week's loss, giving up 304 passing yards to rookie quarterback Caleb Williams. On Sunday, the Panthers will face an Atlanta offense that has found its rhythm. Quarterback Kirk Cousins threw for a franchise record 504 yards in the Falcons' 36-30 victory over the Buccaneers last Thursday. In addition, the Falcons are 12-5 in their past 17 meetings against the Panthers, while Carolina is just 1-13 in its last 14 matchups against an opponent from the NFC. That's a big reason why Atlanta (-6) is projected to win by at least a touchdown and is the better value against the spread. See which other teams to pick here.

Another one of its Week 6 NFL betting predictions: the Commanders (+6.5, 51.5) cover on the road versus the Ravens in a game with the second-highest over-under of the week. Washington has been one of the most buzzworthy stories in the NFL so far this season, becoming the first team since 1970 to score 150-plus points in its first five games while starting a rookie quarterback. Jayden Daniels became the first player in league history to record 1,000-plus passing yards and 250-plus rushing yards in the first five games of his career.

The Commanders now have a chance to post a 5-1 start for the first time since 1996 against a Baltimore defense that ranks 26th in points allowed per game (25.2). The Ravens are coming off an overtime win at Cincinnati last week, while Washington cruised to a 34-13 win over Cleveland and was able to rest down the stretch. Washington has covered the spread in four of its last five games, and SportsLine's model has the Commanders covering the spread more than 50% of the time. See which other teams to pick here.
