AMD launches Ryzen AI PRO 300 series chips for business

by · Liliputing

AMD’s new Ryzen AI PRO 300 series processors are based on the same Strix Point architecture as the Ryzen AI 300 consumer chips that the company launched earlier this year, but the new PRO versions bring enterprise security and management features.

The chip maker is also introducing its first 8-core Strix Point processor as part of the new business lineup. Up until now we’ve only seen 10-core and 12-core Strix Point processors.

All of the new processors feature Zen 5 CPU cores, RDNA 3.5 graphics, and the latest high-performance Ryzen AI NPU based on XDNA 2 architecture, with up to 55 TOPS of AI hardware-accelerated AI performance.

But the new entry-level Ryzen AI 7 360 processor has fewer CPU cores and less cache than AMD’s other current-gen chips, suggesting it’ll be a lower-cost option.
