Attempted murder cops urge locals to come forward two weeks after man left in hospital

Police investigating an attempted murder in Greenock are urging locals to come forward two weeks after a man was left in hospital.

Cops were called to West Blackhall Street at around 12.10am on Saturday, September 28 after reports of a 21-year-old man being found injured. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

Detectives launched a probe, however those responsible have still not been caught and the force are urging anyone with any information to come forward.

Detective Inspector Nicky Beattie said: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and I would reassure the local community that extensive efforts are ongoing to identify whoever is responsible.
