A pedestrian has been rushed to hospital after being "struck by a bus" near a shopping centre in Glasgow.

Emergency services raced to Auchinlea Road, near Glasgow Fort, after the alarm was raised at around 2pm on Tuesday. Officers were alerted to a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle.

Cops would not confirm whether or not the vehicle involved was a bus, however an eye-witness told Glasgow Live that a 'woman was hit by a First Bus'. Images from the scene showed ambulance crews attend to the pedestrian next to a double-decker vehicle.

Their condition is currently unknown. The road reopened at around 3.30pm and police say their enquiries are ongoing.
