Amazon slash price of smart tag 'perfect' for tracking luggage and keys by over 50%
by Molly Finlay, https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/authors/molly-finlay/, Harriet Morphy-Morris · Daily RecordBluetooth trackers have become increasingly popular, with devices like Apple AirTags, Tile, and Samsung Galaxy Tags flying off the shelves due to their ability to send alerts. These handy gadgets can be attached to essential items such as car keys, handbags, or laptops, and have become a must-have for many.
Even some parents have also started using the Galaxy Smart Tag2 to keep track of their children who don't have mobile phones. One happy customer who took advantage of Amazon's 53% discount said: "This tag is great, I use it to track my kid to school as he doesn't take his phone".
The Galaxy Smart Tag2 was originally priced at £39.99, but Amazon has reduced it to £18.78. As a result, over 4,000 units have been sold this month alone.
Tech experts often talk about rival products like Apple AirTags and Tile Tags, but this Samsung variant seems just as reliable. Out of over 3,000 Amazon reviews, an impressive 69% have given the Galaxy Smart Tag 2 a perfect score.
Customers are singing the praises of a new AI tracker, with one satisfied user stating: "Most of all they do what they're designed to do. It's easy to see where the tags are on the Smart Things app." reports the Express.
A recent buyer praised the product, saying: "They're small, easily attached to items by the hoop incorporated in the design", also commenting on the user-friendliness of the accompanying application.
Another happy customer shared: "I was concerned that there would be areas where there would be no response because of lack of Samsung devices. This doesn't appear to be the case."
One person reported their practical use case: "I currently have a tag on my car keys. My daughter is using the car and I can see she is currently just outside Limerick. Despite being in the middle of nowhere the position shown in the app is correct within 15 meters."
Similarly, another shopper recounted similar success when using Samsung's tracker for travel purposes, recalling an incident at Liverpool Airport and stating it was an 'invaluable purchase': "Finally bought these just before our holiday. We just flew back from Málaga late Saturday night last weekend after a 3-hour delay."
"When we got to the baggage belt a text came through to say that the entire flight's luggage was still in Málaga. We were told the luggage would be flown to Dublin the next day and delivered to our homes."
They further added: "The next day we were able to check the whereabouts of our cases (still in Málaga) and track again when they had landed in Dublin."
Tech deal of the week
A warming cup of tea or coffee is ideal for these chilly mornings, but what if you only want to boil one cup?
For anyone looking to conserve energy, thus save some pennies, there is the Breville Hot Water Dispenser that shoppers are currently rushing to buy. On Amazon, it has been dropped from £47.99 to just £32.
Perfect for that mid-day tea break, this gadget can dispense a 250ml cup of boiling water in as little as '30 seconds' - making it faster and simpler than boiling a full kettle. With a 1.5l capacity, it can make hot drinks and even instant noodles.
Boasting an incredible 4.4 rating on Amazon, the Breville Hot Water Dispenser has been praised in reviews by users who say it is "money saving" and has them abandoning their traditional kettles.
One shopper who bought it praised: "I was amazed at how quickly it boils the water for one cup of tea or coffee. I particularly like the fact that it dispenses a measured dose of water each time so, once you push the button and put your cup underneath, you can walk away and the hot water pours directly in to the cup."
They continued: "My reason for buying the Breville Hot Cup is that I am now working at home and I purchased this to prevent me having to boil a full kettle a few times a day to make myself a cuppa. I am sure I must be saving a fortune on my electricity bill!
"I can see that this would be a brilliant item for a person who struggles with the weight of a cumbersome large kettle or has problems with their fingers/hands, say due to arthritis and I think this item is a real winner all around for everyone."
