Liam Payne's girlfriend, Kate Casside, has spoken out following his death, expressing her gratitude for the kind words and love she has received.

In an Instagram post, she wrote: "Thank you for all of the kind words and love that has been sent my way. I have been at a complete loss. Nothing about the past few days have felt real. I ask and pray that you'll give me the grace and space to navigate this in private."

Kate also paid tribute to Liam, saying: "Liam, my angel. You are everything. I want you to know I loved you unconditionally and completely. I will continue to love you for the rest of my life. I love you Liam."

The couple had been on holiday in Argentina, where they attended a concert by Liam's former bandmate Niall Horan, and had been keeping fans updated on social media.

However, tragedy struck when Liam fell from the third floor of their hotel in Buenos Aires, sustaining catastrophic injuries that proved fatal. Police had been called to the hotel earlier after reports of a man acting aggressively, possibly under the influence of drink or drugs, reports the Mirror.
