A man has been arrested following a report of an assault in West Lothian.

Police received reports of an assault in Douglas Rise, Livingston on Wednesday, September 18 at around 3.15pm.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing a police car outside the block of businesses in Douglas Rise.

A man has been arrested in connection and enquiries remain ongoing, police report. Officers are not looking for anyone else in connection to the attack.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.15pm on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, police received a report of the assault of a woman in the Douglas Rise area of Livingston.

“A man has been arrested in connection and enquiries remain ongoing. Officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.”
