Liam Payne's family have spoken out after his parents were seen leaving their home in the middle of the night.

Late last night, news broke that the 31-year-old One Direction singer tragically lost his life after falling from a balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Liam's mum and dad, Geoff and Karen Payne reportedly left the family home "in a hurry" at around midnight last night as news of their son's death broke.

And on Thursday morning, the curtains of their £600,000 four bedroom detached house remained closed, reports SWNS.

A family member who answered the door told reporters: "We're obviously devastated at the news but we don't want to comment."

Neighbours said that Geoff and Karen left their home at around midnight while two women, believed to be Liam's sisters, were seen entering the property at 9am this morning.
