Photographer claims Meghan Markle forced Prince Harry to quit UK and be 'nasty' to Royal Family

Meghan Markle forced Prince Harry to step down as a senior royal and move to the US, according to a royal expert.

A royal commentator has suggested that Prince Harry underwent a transformation after he met Meghan Markle, who he believes influenced Harry's decision to depart from the UK. Speaking on The Sun's inaugural Royal Exclusive Live show, seasoned royal photographer Arthur Edwards claimed that Meghan left Harry with no option but to exit the Royal Family alongside her.

He remarked: "The first year with Meghan she was fantastic. I travelled everywhere with them.

"She was a star, engaging with the public, doing everything you'd expect a lady married into the Royal family to do.

"Then suddenly, everything changed. Meghan said 'we are going' and that was it.

"And as we say, he made that decision and disappeared. That was his choice."

Edwards, who has snapped photos of the royals for over four decades, deemed the couple's decision to leave as "fair," yet he noted their subsequent behaviour has revealed a harsher aspect of the prince, as they became "nasty" towards the Royal Family in what he views as a bid to earn money, reports the Express.

This represented an unexpected shift in the duke, now 40, which Edwards confessed he hadn't witnessed previously.

Edwards shared: "He was fun and he was surprising. And he used to say 'I'll do everything I can to make it good for you', and that's what shocked me when he just cut us all dead, that one time up in Manchester. I'll never forget and I was shocked and it was just the day he met Meghan or the day he fell in love with Meghan, and it's all changed since then.

"I feel sad about that because he was a fabulous person to work with."

Following a series of solo appearances by Prince Harry, sans Meghan Markle, speculation rises that this may herald a new chapter for the Duke.

His attendance alone at the UK's WellChild Awards 2024 led body language expert Judi James to observe that he seemed "delighted" to resume what she described as a "princely" role.
