A depraved former cop forced a child to pretend she was a dog by wearing a collar and leash in a sick sex game, a court heard.

Roderick Macleod, who was a police officer for seven years, also took extreme pictures of a woman with a dog at his Edinburgh home.

Officers found the images on his phone after Macleod, 56, was arrested on another matter in November 2023.

At Edinburgh Sheriff Court he admitted forcing the child to act like a dog and possessing extreme pornographic images.

He was remanded him in custody for sentencing and put on the sex offenders register. Police Scotland said Macleod was not a serving officer at the time of the offences.
