Tragic mum's last tribute to daughter hours before she died 'from BBL procedure'

A tragic mum who died after an apparent BBL procedure gone wrong shared a touching final Facebook post dedicated to her 12-year-old daughter, just hours before the horror incident. Alice Webb lost her life in the early hours of September 24 after becoming unwell following a suspected cosmetic procedure, according to police.

The 33-year-old is believed to surgery which involves hyaluronic acid injections to enhance buttock size and shape, and can be performed in as little as 60 minutes but is usually very expensive, with online advertisements pricing it as high as £2,500. The procedure is thought to have been carried out by an unqualified practitioner without any medical training or qualifications, reports Bristol Live.

The beauty therapist is survived by partner Dane Knight, 38, as well as five daughters, aged seven to 15 And it was her middle daughter, aged 12, who she posted about on Facebook just hours before she was taken ill late on Monday night.

Sharing a snap of a tiny Halloween pumpkin set upon a coffee table, Alice wrote: "My Gracie came back with a present today. How cute xxx."

Shortly afterwards, Alice commented on the same Facebook post, with another photo showing the pumpkin had been carved, and a tealight candle was now burning inside it. She wrote: "My little lamp xxx".

Following the news of her death, some of Alice's friends have since commented on the Facebook post, with one writing: "To light your way in the dark...", while another simply posted: "RIP".

Earlier in the same day, she had also shared another proud Facebook post of another one of her daughters singing, writing: "Found this!! Think this was 5 years ago. She's always sang! Gets better & better through the years."

The day after Alice's death, her partner Dane Knight took to Facebook to thank people for their well-wishes and tributes, writing: "Want to say a heartfelt thank you to all family and friends that were here for us at our time of need, including all of the kind messages sent to my children and myself.

"There was some very beautiful messages sent by some of your children that formed the start of a smile from the corner of my kids' mouths. Please, please have these five girls' feelings at heart here."

A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Police previously said: "Two people have been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter following the death of a woman in her 30s in Gloucester.

"Police had been called by the ambulance service at around 11.35pm on Monday (23 September) with a report a woman had become unwell following a suspected cosmetic procedure. She was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and died in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

"Her next of kin and the coroner are aware. The woman's family are being supported by specially trained officers. An investigation, led by the Major Crime Investigation Team, is ongoing. The two people who had been arrested have been released on police bail. We can also confirm the woman who died is 33-year-old Alice Webb."
