Roy Keane has declared he's always been unflustered when it comes to his daughters entering the dating scene. The Manchester United icon, now a familiar face as a football pundit, regularly shares his insights on Sky Sports' Premier League broadcasts, as well as appearing on ITV for domestic and international football coverage, reports the Mirror.

He is additionally known for co-hosting the Stick to Football podcast, giving audiences plenty of knowledge about his career in broadcasting. Despite his public persona, Keane has generally kept his personal life, including his wife Theresa and their five children, away from the media spotlight.

They married in 1997 and had four daughters—Shannon, Caragh, Aidan, Leah, and Alanna—all of whom are now adults. .

When asked about the experience of living with so many girls during his stint on The Tommy Tiernan Show last year, Keane's concise response "brilliant" amused the audience. Expanding further, he remarked: "No it is, brilliant. Really good kids, they're good, very good kids."

However, when probed about the most challenging aspect of fatherhood, Keane appeared bemused, leading the host to quip: "Are you f***ing kidding me are ya? " Rejecting that notion, Keane shook his head and added: "No, they're ok. Listen when they get a bit older, I suppose boyfriends and that type of carry on, yeah that can be (shrugs)."

Tiernan light-heartedly noted Keane's intimidating reputation, saying: "I'd say it'd be fairly intimidating meeting you now in all fairness. Clint Eastwood in the kitchen."

However, Keane downplayed his tough persona with a cool response, stating to the audience's curiosity, "You'd be very surprised. Surely that's the same for everybody." Tiernan appeared sceptical as he responded, "You're so guarded. Maybe you're just so calm and settled and strong."
