Strictly Come Dancing's Pete Wicks has opened up about a 'ridiculous' tattoo he acquired following an awkward incident.

The ex-Towie celebrity and his dance partner, Jowita Przystal, are deep in practice as they anticipate their upcoming appearance on the Halloween-themed show this coming Saturday night (October 26).

In light of their impending eerie routine, Pete has discussed an uncomfortable tale resulting in an 'absolutely ridiculous' tattoo.

On whether he's ever had a brush with the supernatural, he confessed: "I don't know. I don't necessarily believe but I also don't definitely disbelieve."

Divulging further, Pete said: "I have got a ghost tattooed on me. I used to present a podcast called Just a Little Prick about tattoos and interviewed tattoo artists whilst they tattooed me. And the tattoo artist who did the ghost was apparently the oldest working artist in the world."

He continued, "He was 93 and I expected him just to be doing like a little tattoo or something like that so I let him do whatever he wanted, but I didn't realise it was going to be Casper the Friendly Ghost, who looks like a fat baby. It is absolutely ridiculous."

This revelation follows last weekend's performance where the podcast host endured the notoriously challenging rumba with his partner.

They danced to the tune of Oasis's 'Don't Look Back in Anger', presenting a 'wet' look for the show. At that juncture, Pete conceded his dislike for the dance, with the duo netting a score of 22.

Despite their low score, they sailed straight through to tonight's iconic Halloween special, where viewers will see the pair transform into the Joker and Harley Quinn for their Viennese Waltz to Frank Sinatra's "That's Life."

It seems that despite other commitments, he and Jowita have dedicated themselves to practice, as they were still in rehearsals at 10pm on Thursday evening (October 24).

Pete shared a clip on Jowita's Instagram Story expressing his dismay at the time: "It's 10 o'clock on a Thursday and we've just finished training and Jowita has a surprise for me... I got quite excited until I saw what it was.."

He beckoned the professional dancer over, who then appeared wearing a silver mask that covered all but her nose and mouth.

As she danced around him, Pete remarked: "She's been dancing like that for the past 15 minutes which has been a struggle. Look at the... Go away you weird, weird borrower."
