It was a family affair at Anastasia Soare’s Beverly Hills residence on Monday evening, where the beauty founder and her daughter Claudia Norvina hosted Victoria Beckham and her teenager daughter Harper alongside a group of content creators.

The two businesswomen (who met through Naomi Campbell 15 years ago) united the Los Angeles beauty world, with the likes of Marianna Hewitt and Rose Vandekerckhove in the room, to toast their respective milestones. Beckham was marking five years of Victoria Beckham Beauty, while Soare — “the eyebrow queen,” as she’s known — is nearing 25 years of Anastasia Beverly Hills‘ product line. “I am very proud of what I achieved,” Soare said. “I mean, not even in my wildest dream, I would ever envision myself being here today. I am really proud of who my daughter is today. I think I gave her a purpose, and she loves what she does. I think that’s my biggest achievement.”

Norvina has been connected with the company from a young age and now serves as president and creative director.

“I think I was harder on her than every other employee,” Soare went on. “So, she earned everything….It’s not easy to grow up being Anastasia’s daughter. And I was asking Harper today, ‘How difficult is it to be Victoria’s daughter?’ Because it’s not easy.”

Beckham, too, involves Harper with her brand; she’s been present at development meetings, Beckham said.

“She comes to work with me, and I think that she has been quite a sponge and has soaked up what we talk about,” Beckham said. “It’s inspiring as well. Harper is obsessed with beauty and skin care, and it’s a really nice thing that we can do together. We like to go shopping and try formulas and discuss that.”

Beckham most recently launched her fourth fragrance and entered complexion with a concealer formulated with skin care benefits. “I’m proud these are not licensed deals,” she said. “I own these businesses, and that’s something to be very, very proud of.”

Soare — who is continuously working on innovating in the beauty space — has been “a mentor” to Beckham, she added: “She is the master, someone that has always been there as a friend, someone I respect as an entrepreneur, businesswoman, mother. She really is an inspiration. So, the fact she opens her home and invites so many incredible people here tonight is such a lovely thing to do, such a kind thing to do.”

Soare has been hosting many get-togethers in her home in recent years for women in beauty and business to connect and support one another.

“I started 30 years ago, and I didn’t know anyone,” Soare said. “My clients, the people that I surround myself with, they helped me with advice, even how to write a check. I didn’t know how to write a check. I didn’t know anything. So, women really supported my business….I feel it’s my duty now to encourage other women.”
