Gang fatally assaults rival suitor over woman 

POLICE have arrested three members of a gang and launched a manhunt for three other assailants, who teamed up and fatally assaulted a rival suitor in a fight over a woman.

The now deceased was identified as Mlamuleli Mangena, whose age was not disclosed.

“Police in Coleen Bawn are investigating a case of murder which occurred on October 3, 2024 at Forest H60 Mine in which Mlamuleli Mangena died.

“The suspects, only identified as Trinity, Benito and Mashelly and three other unknown suspects, struck Mlamuleli Mangena with an unknown sharp object on the head after an argument over a girlfriend.

“The suspects also attacked Tinashe Chirenje (30) with a machete and an axe. Anyone with information to report at any nearest police station,” police said in a statement.

Meanwhile, law enforcement authorities in Filabusi have arrested Trymore Mangena (21) in connection with a case of murder in which Nkulumo Sibanda (47) died at Siyaphambili Village on October 3, 2024, after he was stabbed with a Columbian knife on the chest following an altercation over US$3.
