Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro and Xiaomi Watch S4 Unveiled

by · Gizchina

Xiaomi introduced the Smart Band 9 a few months ago, and now it’s followed up with the Smart Band 9 Pro. Just like other Pro versions in Xiaomi’s popular fitness band series, this model has a bigger, square screen. The Smart Band 9 Pro sports a 1.74-inch AMOLED display, offering crisp visuals at a 336×480 resolution and peaking at an impressive 1,200 nits of brightness. The device itself measures 43.27 x 32.49 x 10.8 mm and weighs 24.5 grams, keeping it lightweight, thanks to its durable aluminum alloy frame. The new wearables join the big stars of the show the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro.

Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro Features and Pricing

The Smart Band 9 Pro is designed to handle rough conditions. It’s water-resistant up to 5ATM and has a 350mAh battery that can last up to 21 days per charge. It also includes NFC for contactless payments, and Bluetooth 5.4, and supports multiple satellite systems (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and QZSS) for precise location tracking. It’s compatible with Android 8 or newer and iOS 12 or newer.

As expected for a fitness band, the Smart Band 9 Pro tracks your heart rate, blood oxygen, stress levels, and sleep quality. It supports over 150 sports modes, with advanced tracking for running and swimming.

Xiaomi Watch S4

Meanwhile, the Watch S4 features a bright 1.43-inch AMOLED screen. It boasts a sharp 466×466 resolution and a peak brightness of 2,200 nits. It has a swappable bezel, letting you change up the look easily. Like the Smart Band 9 Pro, it’s water-resistant up to 5ATM. Last but not least, it offers over 150 sports modes for a variety of workouts.

The Watch S4 comes in two models. One of them supports eSIM, which gives it more connectivity options. It measures 47.3 x 47.3 x 12 mm, weighs 44.5 grams and is comfortable for daily use. The Watch has Bluetooth 5.3 and, like the Smart Band 9 Pro, uses multiple satellite systems to track location accurately. It works with both Android and iOS devices.

Along with tracking heart rate, blood oxygen, and stress, the Watch S4 has extra tools like the built-in running course. It also embraces AI for route planning and for help with workouts. With the dual-mode walkie-talkie and eSIM, you can stream music and make calls without your phone, making it convenient on the go.

You can also reply to messages, send emojis, and control Xiaomi smart home devices directly from the watch. In China, it can even be used as an NFC car key. The Watch S4 starts at CNY 999 (about $140).
