6 Soon-Launching New Cars In India – Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, Honda

The Indian automotive industry will witness the launch of multiple new products in the coming months. While a few cars have already been revealed, others will be out in full flesh very soon. In the article, we will look at the upcoming new car launching soon in India.
1. New-Gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire
Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) is all set to launch the new-gen Dzire in the Indian market on November 11. While the compact sedan is already out in full flesh, the price is yet to be announced. Sporting an all-new design with a more modern front fascia, a new set of alloy wheels towards the sides and an updated rear profile, the bookings for the new Dzire have already commenced. The company also revealed the fuel efficiency figures of the sedan which stands at 24.79 kmpl for the MT and 25.71 kmpl for the AMT variants. It will be powered by the new 1.2-litre Z12E petrol engine.
2. New-Gen Honda Amaze
Honda Cars India recently released a teaser of the new-gen Amaze ahead of its launch on December 4. The teaser image highlighted the new design of the Amaze which appears much more modern and sportier than before. We can spot a new set of LED headlamps, an updated front grille and an all-new bumper, in line with the City’s design. The third-generation Amaze will be underpinned by a modified version of the platform that underpins the City and Elevate SUV. Under the hood, the existing 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine putting out 90 bhp and 110 Nm of peak torque will be retained for the Indian market, mated to the option of a manual and a CVT gearbox.

3&4. Mahindra BE 6e & XEV 9e
Taking a big leap towards electrification, Mahindra & Mahindra will unveil its new series of born electric SUVs in India on November 26. Based on the BE.05 and XUV.e9 concept electric SUVs, the production-spec models will be dubbed BE 6e and XEV 9e, respectively. Both the EV SUVs will be based on the brand’s born electric INGLO skateboard architecture. The Mahindra BE 6e will go up against the likes of the Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Creta EV and Maruti Suzuki e Vitara amongst others in the domestic market. It will likely measure around 4.3 metres long and will be offered in both 2WD and 4WD drivetrain configurations. As per the details available, the electric car could be offered in two battery pack options i.e. 79 kWh and a smaller 60 kWh.
On the other hand, the XEV 9e is expected to rival the likes of the Tata Harrier EV. As per the media reports, the production version of the XUV.e9 will only be sold with an RWD configuration and the electric SUV could share the battery pack and electric motor with the BE 6e. The design of both the upcoming Mahindra electric SUVs will be in line with their concept versions.

5. Skoda Kylaq
After a long wait, Skoda has finally taken the wraps off the Kylaq for the Indian as well as global markets. The starting price for India has been set at Rs. 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom), while the sticker cost of all the variants is yet to be revealed. Based on the MQB-A0-IN platform, the sub-4-meter SUV is powered by the familiar 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine putting out 115 bhp and 178 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Skoda claims a 0-100 kmpl timing of 10.5 seconds for the manual gearbox version. The compact SUV comes with features like powered driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, a fully digital instrument cluster, a single-pane sunroof and 6-airbags as standard amongst others.
6. Maruti Suzuki e Vitara
The production version of the eVX concept electric SUV has been revealed globally and it will go by the name e Vitara. Maruti Suzuki will launch the e Vitara in the Indian market next year i.e. March 2025 and it will be the brand’s first electric car in India. The global model will be manufactured at Suzuki’s Gujarat-based facility. The EV will measure 4,275 mm long with a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. Internally codenamed YY8, the e Vitara is based on an all-new born-electric skateboard platform, the Heartect-e (codename: 40PL). There will be two battery packs on offer, i.e. a 49kWh and a 61kWh unit with power output ranging up to 184 bhp and 300 Nm of peak torque for the AWD variant. The claimed driving range has not been revealed as of now. Once launched, the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara will go up against the likes of the Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV, upcoming Hyundai Creta EV and Mahindra BE 6e.
