Amanda Holden, the Heart radio presenter, has been given a new nickname by her colleagues after gaining weight during her charity bike ride. The star recently completed her Big Ride To Work for Global's Make Some Noise campaign, raising an impressive £375,000 for charity.

On Friday, October 11, co-host JK announced to Heart listeners that "an incredible week and an incredible challenge" had come to an end. Before revealing the substantial fundraising total, JK teased: "This is an exciting moment. Would you like to know how much you've raised for Global's Make Some Noise? This is the moment. This is what you've been doing it for. The only reason."

Amanda replied: "The only reason, because can I just say something? I weigh more now than I did at the start of the week? Can I just point that out? Because I know that's not important to a lot of people but it is to me."

JK then humorously suggested that Amanda's new nickname at the station was "muscles", a nod to her athletic charity efforts.

However, Amanda seemed less than thrilled with her new title, retorting: ""I don't care about the muscles - I wanted the weight loss."

Amanda's charity cycle saw her cover a 250-mile route from Cornwall to London, overcoming tyre punctures and challenging weather conditions along the way. Upon completing her remarkable journey, Amanda reflected: "It was amazing!", reports the Mirror.

"The weather was terrible some of the hills were barbaric, but what a gorgeous way to see the UK."

During the third day of her charity bike ride, Amanda experienced a poignant moment when she was joined by Pippa Nightingale, the midwife who had a profound impact on her life. Reflecting on their bond, Amanda shared: "I met Pippa years ago when I was making a documentary about midwifery and we became friends from that."

Amanda's charity cycle took her on a 250-mile route from Cornwall to London, facing down tyre punctures and grim weather conditions along the way. Upon finishing her incredible journey, Amanda said: "But thereafter she supported me through my very sad stillbirth that I had with my beautiful son Theo and she's basically been there for the whole thing."

She continued explaining the depth of their connection: "And then when I had Hollie, that birth wasn't an easy one either and she basically saved my life during the birth of my little girl Hollie who is now 12." Expressing her gratitude and affection, Amanda said: "She's a friend for life and honestly any time I've got an emergency or anything that happens to one of the girls or me, Pippa is always the first person I call.

"She is like the light, the strength, she's a good laugh she can drink me under the table!

"There's a million other reasons I love her." She concluded with heartfelt praise: "But primarily she's just got the answer to everything, always, she's brilliant I love her, I love you."
