Coronation Street stars Cait Fitton and Sydney Martin have been praised by fans

Several Coronation Street actors have taken to social media to share snaps from a co-star's birthday celebration. Elle Mulvaney, who plays Amy Barlow on the ITV soap, marked her 22nd birthday earlier this month and received an outpouring of well wishes from colleagues, friends and fans.

Among those posting pictures from Elle's party was Cait Fitton, who portrays Lauren Bolton on the show. The 22-year-old actress shared photos alongside co-stars Sydney Martin (Betsy Swain) and Liam McCheyne (Dylan Wilson), captioning the images as "the dream team".

In another post on her Instagram story, she referred to Sydney as her 'Twin', accompanied by a pink heart emoji. Fans were quick to compliment the young actresses in the comments, with one saying: "You and Sydney are just stunning ladies", while another added: "beautiful girls and two peas in a pod."

On screen, Cait's character Lauren is currently embroiled in one of the soap's major storylines involving villain Joel Deering, played by Calum Lil.

Since joining the cobbles in 2022, Cait's character has been at the centre of plenty of drama, including a plot that revealed lawyer Joel had masterminded Lauren's disappearance and manipulated her into an abusive sexual relationship. Now, Lauren has teamed up with Dee-Dee to take down Joel, and amidst all the twists and turns, Corrie fans are eagerly speculating about who might be Lauren's next romantic interest, reports the Liverpool Echo.

Elle Mulvaney, who plays Amy Barlow, also received an outpouring of support when she posted pictures of herself dressed up for the party. Her co-stars flooded the comments section with birthday wishes and compliments on her stunning outfit, hair, and makeup.

Harriet Bibby, who portrays Summer Spellman, enthusiastically commented: '''Yes yes yes!" While Simon Gregson, known for his role as Steve McDonald, added: ''Happy birthday smelly belly."
