Strictly Come Dancing favourite JB Gill will have Lauren Oakley as his dance partner while Amy Dowden recovers from an incident which saw her collapse backstage during last Saturday's broadcast. The former JLS star will start practising with Lauren today, on Monday.

Amy, who had to sit out of the 2023 Strictly series due to breast cancer, had an ambulance called for her at the Elstree Studios in Borehamwood after feeling unwell. Although absent from Sunday's results show, it is yet unclear when she will be back on the dance floor, reports Bristol Live.

A spokesperson for the show stated on Sunday: "Amy was feeling unwell and so an ambulance was called as a precaution."

Adding, "She is feeling much better and would like to thank the Strictly family for their love and concern. We request Amy's privacy in matters of health is kindly respected."

Furthermore, the East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed: "We were called just after 9pm on Saturday to attend a medical emergency at Elstree Studios in Borehamwood. An ambulance was sent to the scene. One patient, an adult female, was transported to Barnet Hospital for further care."
