Police investigation after man's body found in Nottinghamshire village home

The death has been described as 'unexpected'

Nottinghamshire Police are investigating after a man's body was found in a village home. Officers were called to Pipit Grove in Ruddington after reports that somebody had died.

Police say that the death was unexpected and that they are now investigating. Photographs sent to Nottinghamshire Live show a police car and an ambulance outside a property on the cul-de-sac on Wednesday, October 16.

Detective Sergeant Jo Eaton, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Officers attended an address in Pipit Grove, Ruddington, around 1pm on Thursday (17 October) after reports a man’s body had been found. The death was unexpected and our deepest condolences are with family members and friends at this difficult time.

“We are still in the very early stages of our investigation and are working hard to establish the full circumstances surrounding the death. Our inquiries remain ongoing, and I’d urge anyone who has any information to please call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 327 of 17 October 2024.”
