UK weather maps show when 742-mile 'rain bomb' will bring heavy downpours
by Astha Saxena · NottinghamshireLiveBritain is set to be hit by a 742-mile-wide deluge, with weather maps pinpointing the exact day the UK should prepare for intense rainfall. WXCharts' projections light up on November 6, signalling a high chance of wet and blustery conditions stretching from Wick down to Plymouth.
Alongside the rain, temperatures are expected to dip, with mercury levels hovering around 3-5C, introducing a chill to those areas. The north looks to bear the brunt of it – locations such as Wick, Inverness, Aberdeen, and Edinburgh could see hourly rain rates reaching 2-3mm.
As we approach the colder months, the forecast aligns with the Met Office's prediction of an "unseasonably mild" Halloween in parts of Britain.

Looking further ahead to November 4-13, the Met Office long-range forecast anticipates that "High pressure is likely to dominate the weather across many parts of the UK during this period," reports the Express.
"This will mean plenty of dry and settled weather for most, although it may be fairly cloudy at times. Where skies clear overnight some areas of fog and frost are likely to develop.
"Southern areas are expected to be mainly dry during this period, while any more unsettled conditions and periods of rain are more likely to affect areas further north, particularly the north and northwest of Scotland."
"Winds will likely be light in the south, but there could be some spells of strong winds across the north and west. Temperatures will probably be close to normal overall, although some cold nights are possible at times."
