The Prince and Princess of Wales have delighted their followers by sharing a beautiful, previously unseen wedding photo from their private collection to celebrate their anniversary. Taking to their official social media platforms earlier, the couple released an intimate black and white image captured on their big day in 2011, showing them in a relaxed pose at Buckingham Palace post-ceremony.

The charming photo catches Kate in her exquisite Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen wedding dress and veil, while William is pictured affectionately standing with his hand on her waist. The photograph was taken by Millie Pilkington, their personal photographer for the event, who specializes in more personal shots.

To commemorate the occasion, the photo was poignantly captioned: "13 years today! " Furthermore, Millie shared the same image on her Instagram feed with a heartfelt message, posting: "Happy wedding anniversary! Can't believe it's been 13 years. Remember this moment so well. Sending you both much love on this special day."

This comes after Kate recently opened up in a heartfelt announcement last month about her health struggles, stating that it has been "an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family". Expressing gratitude, she said, "Having William by my side is a great source of comfort and reassurance."

She disclosed that the diagnosis had come as an immense shock and she, alongside William, "have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family", reports the Mirror.

Meanwhile, Prince William dove back into his Royal duties after enjoying the Easter holidays with the Wales family and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. The young prince, Louis, celebrated his sixth birthday on Tuesday, while Charlotte is set to celebrate her ninth on Thursday.

A fresh and unedited photo of Louis was shared directly on social media for his special day by William and Kate in a move to express gratitude to supporters and sidestep any controversy, reminiscent of the backlash from Princess Charlotte's digitally altered Mother's Day image. Known as life partners for over two decades, William and Kate formed a bond at the University of St Andrews in Fife, Scotland, where they initially became friends prior to starting their romantic journey.

In their engagement interview, William reminisced: "Obviously we both have a very fun time together, both have a very good sense of humour about things."

Praising him, the princess described William as a 'loving boyfriend' who has been "very supportive of me through the good times and also through the bad times". Their wedding took place in an enchanting fairytale-like ceremony at Westminster Abbey on April 29, 2011, which featured an aisle romantically lined with trees.

The bride was adorned in an exquisite ivory gown with lace applique floral detail designed by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen, while the groom donned the red tunic of the Irish Guards. The couple welcomed their first child George in 2013, followed by Charlotte in 2015 and Louis in 2018.

They have experienced highs and lows, from the birth of their children and Jubilee celebrations to the late Queen's passing and more recently the King's cancer diagnosis, maintaining their silence amidst allegations made against them by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex following Harry and Meghan's departure from the Royal family.
