Dianne Buswell and Chris McCausland reflected on their emotional journey as they progressed to week four of Strictly Come Dancing, after captivating audiences with a Wayne's World-inspired jive during the BBC One dance contest's Movie Week. The pair scored 30 points on Saturday night (October 5), with judge Craig Revel Horwood praising their performance for being "packed full of fantastic rhythm".

He commented: "Strong at kickball changes, they're a little bit heavy for my liking, but it was full, packed full of fantastic rhythm."

On Sunday night's results show (October 6), it was confirmed that Chris, who is Strictly's first blind contestant, and Dianne would be moving on to perform a Salsa to Men At Work's 'Down Under' in the next round. Following their successful advancement, Dianne posted a photo of their latest dance and a selfie of them dressed as the iconic characters from Wayne's World.

On Instagram, she penned: "Mind blown yet again by this incredible man @chrismccauslandcomedy thank you for trusting me with every step we take! Even though sometimes what I'm asking you to do must sound so bonkers half / all of the time. Thank you all so much for your votes and your kind words we see them and they really do help us push along."

She continued: "Week 4 let's have ya. Lastly, @mr_njonesofficial @toyahofficial we send so much love and will miss you guys on the dance floor!" Dianne also posted a fantastic clip of her and Chris's performance, likening it to a scene from a film where they were seen in a car. In the caption, Dianne wrote: "Rock and roll @chrismccauslandcomedy @craigrevel."

However, when one follower commented: "Wrong person driving," the Australian star retorted: "We were aware ! We did this on purpose."

Meanwhile, Chris was quick to reply to Dianne's initial post, acknowledging his dance partner's efforts and the support they've received.

He expressed: " Dianne's choreography and ability to teach me has been phenomenal. She is really really excited about this next song though, so I can't wait to see what she has in store, we start tomorrow! And the same goes from me, thank you so much everybody! Believe me, I am surprising myself here as much as anybody else."

He added, "Your support and votes mean so much to us, as I'm really loving doing this with Super Dianne and would like it to continue. Lots of love and thanks to you all!"
