The father of a 14-year-old girl who was the victim of a suspected acid attack outside her school has spoken out about her concerns over potentially being left with lifelong scars. Corey McFarlane shared the distressing revelation two days after the incident, which also injured a 16-year-old boy, and called for the perpetrator to face justice.

The attack occurred on Monday at approximately 4:40 pm outside Westminster Academy in Notting Hill, West London, with the suspect, described as a tall, slim Black male wearing dark clothing and a possible mask or balaclava, fleeing the scene on an e-scooter. Mr. McFarlane, 37, stated, "This senseless act of violence has left her with severe injuries that require urgent and long-term medical care, surgeries, rehabilitation, and mental health support. As we focus on her recovery, we also need help to ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice."

A 27-year-old female teacher who provided first aid to the victims and two police officers who assisted were also treated in the hospital as a precaution.

Mr McFarlane has revealed that his family "haven't got any idea" about the motive behind the "unimaginable" attack on his daughter, who remains unnamed. He described his daughter as "a fighter", and shared that she is currently in a stable condition after suffering burns to the left side of her face, which could potentially leave lifelong scars.

Mr McFarlane has been by her hospital bedside, waking every few hours to apply eye drops and paraffin to her face "to keep everything in place". He expressed: "Words cannot express the shock, pain, and trauma she is going through right now, both physically and emotionally. "She's very traumatised by the attack.

"She's very scared about her injuries. She's a young girl, and these scars could be for life.

"She's very worried about that and has been asking about that. " He further added: "I can't explain what I'm going through - words can't explain it."

Mr McFarlane has revealed that his elder daughter, who is 16, no longer feels safe going to school after the incident. He has since set up a GoFundMe page to assist with the costs of her sister's immediate and long-term care, reports the Mirror.

He stated: "We are working closely with authorities, but any support we can get from the community to spread awareness, gather information, and assist in the investigation would be deeply appreciated. We are humbly asking for donations to help cover her expenses and support her journey to recovery.

Any contribution, big or small, will make a huge difference in her life and help us take the first steps towards healing from this unimaginable attack. " On the GoFundMe page, he further added: "The funds raised will be used for immediate costs related to her care and long-term support.

Your support, whether financial or simply sharing this campaign, will help us tremendously. My daughter is a fighter, but she needs her community behind her more than ever.

Thank you for your kindness, love, and generosity in these incredibly difficult times. " To contribute to the GoFundMe, visit: https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-my-daughter-heal-after-a-horrific-acid-attack.
