Coleen Nolan left fuming at Loose Women co-star after on-air surprise

Loose Women star Coleen Nolan was left red-faced during Tuesday's show after she was caught out by her son Shane Nolan's message about her kissing habits

During Tuesday's episode of Loose Women, Coleen Nolan was taken aback when her son Shane sent a cheeky on-air message to the show, causing quite a stir. The panel was discussing whether parents should show affection in front of their children, when Coleen, 59, announced she's not keen on overly affectionate public displays.

But then co-star Ruth Langsford read out an incoming message from Shane, 35, prompting Coleen to react with: "Oh no! " The revelation made by Ruth, courtesy of the message: "He says tell mum, what are you talking about? You're constantly kissing Michael and it makes me want to vom! '" led to Coleen blushing as the studio audience and fellow panellists reacted with shock.

Coleen fiercely responded to her son's claims by saying: "Oh no I'm not, he's just winding me up and I'm so gonna kill him when I see him! " When pressed for the truth, she insisted: "No, no!" A teasing Ruth pointed out Coleen's flushed reaction: "She's gone red! " Coleen defended herself, clarifying that while she might share a peck with her partner Michael Jones, whom she met in 2021 after trying online dating on Tinder with some encouragement from fellow panellist Brenda Edwards, they don't engage in overzealous kisses. She quipped about her son: "He watches Loose Women every day, he needs to get a life!" Coleen had previously divorced her second husband Ray Fensome in 2018 before entering the dating scene again.

In a chat with the Mirror, Coleen revealed: "I was on Tinder with Brenda - she swiped right for me I just said 'oh he looks nice' and then he messaged me and it just went from there really. And he didn't have all that 'bet you're a loose woman' or 'bet you're in the mood for dancing' chat."

She continued: "I always said, after my second divorce, I'm never, ever getting married again.. I love marriage and it's fantastic when it's working. Brilliant. Nothing better. But when it goes wrong, it's horrendous... divorce is also like grief. You mourn the end of any relationship."

Despite her past experiences, Coleen confessed that she still daydreams about possibly tying the knot again: "I do sometimes," she admitted, "I think it would be lovely."

Coleen was previously wed to Shane Richie from 1990 to 1999, with whom she has two sons, Jake, 32, and Shane Jr, 35. She was also married to Ray Fensome from 2007 to 2018, and they have a daughter, Ciara, 23.
