One person shot and sent to hospital in Mississauga

Peel Regional Police responded to a shooting in Mississauga on Saturday.

Officers were called to a plaza near Dixie Road and Eglinton Avenue just before 1:00 p.m.

Police say one person has been shot and transported to a hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspects are believed to have fled the area.

No other details have been provided.
