Premium Bond winners for November 2024 - have you won £1m?
by Lauren Haughey, Ruby Flanagan · BristolLiveTwo lucky winners have become millionaires overnight as the winners of November's Premium Bond prize draw were announced today. The first big winner hails from Warwickshire, with £50,000 invested in Premium Bonds.
Their winning bond number, 286CJ469715, was purchased eight years ago in November 2016 and had a value of £25. The second millionaire is from Cornwall, with £38,000 invested in Premium Bonds.
This fortunate individual bought the winning bond, 567MN061686, in January of this year, which had a value of £15,000. But it's not all about the £1million jackpot.
An impressive total of 90 people won the second prize of £100,000 - all of whom held more than £35,000 in Premium Bonds. However, one lucky winner of £50,000 had only £22 worth of Premium Bonds in their account, according to the Mirror.
All the big winners were published on NS&I's website today, and further details about November 2024's Premium Bonds prize draw will be published by tomorrow.
What is a Premium Bond?
Premium Bonds are a savings product run by NS&I. Rather than earning interest and getting a guaranteed return on your money, you're entered into a monthly prize draw. Prizes range from £25 to £1million.
All Premium Bonds prizes are exempt from UK Income Tax and Capital Gains Tax, meaning winners can retain the full amount of their winnings. Each £1 invested gives you a unique bond number, with investments ranging from £25 to a maximum of £50,000 in total in Premium Bonds.
If necessary, you can withdraw all or part of your Premium Bonds at any time.
How can I check if I'm a Premium Bonds winner?
Bond holders can use the NS&I online prize checker tool, or the Premium Bonds prize checker app, to see if they have won a prize. You will need to have your bond numbers to use NS&I's prize checker and you can find this on your bond record or through National Savings and Investment's app.
Winners can choose to have the money paid into their bank account or reinvest it into new Premium Bonds. The NS&I should also notify you via email or text message if you've won.
