Srinagar, Oct 08: National Conference vice president Omar Abdullah left for Budgam from Srinagar to thank people there for his victory.

The NC has won back-to-back seats in Kashmir including seven seats of Srinagar district where one seat has gone to Congress. NC sources told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that Omar, after thanking the party workers in Srinagar, left for Budgam to thank people there for his victory.

In Budgam, Omar defeated Aga Muntazir of PDP while he also seems to be sailing through in Ganderbal where PDP’s Bashir Mir is trailing behind. Omar got full support in Budgam from the Srinagar-Budgam Member Parliament Aga Syed Ruhulllah Mehdi. In Budgam, Apni Party candidate Muntazir Mohiudin had withdrew his papers to pave way for Omar’s smooth victory.
