One person killed, 2 seriously wounded after car runs over pedestrians in south Kashmir's Verinag - Greater Kashmir

Srinagar, Oct 2: One person was killed while as two others were injured on Wednesday after a vehicle hit them at the main road in Bongund area of Verinag in south Kashmir’s Anantnag, reports said.

Quoting officials, news agency GNS reported that a vehicle hit three pedestrians at main road in Bongund.

They said one person died on the spot while the other two were seriously wounded and have been shifted to district hospital Anantnag.

The officials identified the deceased as Ghulam Nabi Mir 67, son of Gani Mir.

While the injured were identified as Haseena 62, wife of Ghulam Nabi and Mushtaq Ahmad Mir 46, all residents of Chingund Dooru.

Meanwhile police have registered a case in this regard, and the investigation has been taken up.
