Pulwama, Sep 21: Questioning the support extended by Apni Party leader Muntazir Mohiuddin to the National Conference, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader Mohit Bhan on Saturday said that there has been a disconnect between the words and actions of the National Conference.

“Everybody knows that Muntazir Mohiuddin has been working as an important worker of BJP’s B-team since 2019 and now he withdrew his nomination papers in favour of Omar Abdullah,” Bhan said while addressing a press conference in Pulwama district.

On Friday, Mohiuddin, who is the chief spokesperson of Apni Party, announced his support for Omar Abdullah from the Budgam Assembly seat. Bhan said that Lok Sabha member Aga Ruhallah had said that if his party made any alliance with the BJP and its proxies, he would resign and oppose it vehemently.

“Now, I would like to ask Ruhullah Sahab if he had questioned his party or Omar Abdullah Sahab what compelled them to seek support from the BJP’s B-team that too from his home constituency Budgam. Agha Sahab must clarify if they have an understating with the BJP,” Bhan said.

Launching a tirade on the National Conference parliamentarians, PDP leader said that they had adopted one approach in Kashmir and another in Delhi. “There has been a contrast in their words and actions. Two sessions of parliament have passed since they were elected, but they have not yet tabled any bill vis-à-vis- restoration of Article 370”, Bhan said. He said that the National Conference leaders should inform people what prevented them from introducing such a bill.
