J&K Polls Phase 3: Over 56% voter turnout recorded till 3 pm - Greater Kashmir

Srinagar, Oct 01: With polling for 3rd and final phase of General Elections to J&K Legislative Assembly receiving huge momentum, all polling stations of 40 Assembly Constituencies across seven districts of Jammu & Kashmir have recorded an impressive 56.01 percent voter turnout till 3 pm communicated the Chief Electoral Officer, J&K.

According to officials, district Bandipora recorded 53.09, Baramulla 46.09, Jammu 56.74, Kathua 62.43, Kupwara 52.98, Samba 63.24 and Udhampur 64.43 poll percentage.

   

Voting commenced on Tuesday for the third and final phase of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, covering 40 seats across seven districts, including the winter capital Jammu.

More than 39.18 lakh eligible voters are set to decide the electoral fate of 415 candidates, including two former deputy chief ministers Tara Chand and Muzaffar Baig.
