Counter Intelligence Amritsar recovers over 10kgs of heroin; suspects flee from spot - Greater Kashmir

Srinagar, Oct 12: The Counter Intelligence personnel in Punjab’s Amritsar Saturday intercepted two vehicles near village Sukhewala, Amritsar and recovered 10.4 kilograms of heroin, reports said.

Police chief of the region, DGP Gaurav Yadav said that one of the accused, Sukhraj Singh from TarnTaran district, along with an unidentified accomplice, fled in another vehicle, while the vehicle containing the illicit drugs was seized on the spot.

   

Yadav said that a case has been registered under the NDPS Act even as efforts are being made to apprehend the absconding suspects.
