Love triangle case: 24-year-old man killed in Sanjaynagar
A 24-year-old man was murdered by his roommate in a fit of rage at Sanjaynagar. The incident took place in a rented house where the two men, Varun and Divesh, both originally from Udupi, had been living together for the past year. Sana, also 24, is a mutual friend of the two, and the trio frequently spent time together. Divesh, who worked for Zomato, had been in a relationship with Sana, while Varun, employed as a safety manager, allegedly developed romantic feelings for her over time.

Tensions between the two men escalated due to Varun’s growing affection for Sana. According to reports, Sana had been friendly with both men, which further fuelled Varun’s feelings and Divesh’s jealousy. The three of them gathered for a late-night party in their room, where the situation worsened. After a heated argument, Divesh attacked Varun with hollow bricks in a moment of anger, leading to his death.

The Sanjaynagar police arrested Divesh at the scene. During interrogation, he claimed that Varun had been attempting to win Sana’s affections through black magic and had been spending time with her at parks and cinemas. Divesh confessed that the argument that morning caused him to lose control, resulting in the murder. A case has been registered at Sanjaynagar police station, and police officials are investigating the case.
