Traffic Chaos on Electronic City Expressway Due to Water Logging

Commuters using the Electronic City expressway were stuck in a bumper-to-bumper traffic snarl on the E-City expressway for nearly three hours on Wednesday evening. Those returning home through the flyover said traffic had come to a standstill on express for hours after water logging near Central Silk Board Metro Station. “I left my office in E-city at around 5 pm. However, we got stuck on the expressway immediately after that. By the time we drove down the flyover, it was 8.15 pm. The vehicles were at standstill for hours,” said a commuter. Many reported the water logging episode near the Silk Board metro station and rued about the entire flyover being jammed for hours. “The entire flyover and road under it was jammed. I was stuck on the flyover for more than two hours. By the time we reached home, it was 9 pm,” said another commuter.
