Woman sets herself on fire, husband critical while trying to save her in Balasore
by Abhilasha · KalingaTVSoro: In a tragic incident, a women set herself on fire and husband suffered severe burns while trying to save her at Adia village under Soro police limits of Balasore district.
As per reports, Sashikant Maharana and his wife Bhanumati had quarreled over some issue and in a fit of rage, Bhanumati poured kerosene on herself and set on fire. In order to save his wife, Sashikant also sustained severe burns.

On seeing this, the villagers rescued them and rushed them immediately to Soro Community Health centre (CHC) for treatment.
After Bhanumati’s health condition deteriorated, she was shifted to SCB medical college and hospital in Cuttack.
On being informed about the incident, the Soro police reached the spot and started a probe into the matter.
