2 dead, 1 critical as car bumps into tree in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Two people died and one person is critical as a car lost its balance and hit a tree near the Junei market late on Tuesday night on the Gopa- Konark road.

The deceased has been identified as Biswajit Sahu of Kantapada in Cuttack district and Pradeep Behera of Bhubaneswar. The injured has been identified as Tapan Sahu who is undergoing treatment.

According to sources, due to overspeeding the car bumped into a mango tree. As the car bumped into a mango tree, the locals rushed to the spot because of the sound and informed the police and fire brigade.

The car was cut by the fire brigade and the victims were rescued. The victims were rushed to Gopa Primary Healthcare center (PHC)  where doctors declared Biswajit and Pradeep dead. Tapan is undergoing treatment in Capital hospital, Bhubaneswar after he was referred by the doctors in the PHC.

The three friends were returning home after a visit to Konark sun temple late on Tuesday night when the mishap occured.
