Vipul Shah's Hisaab to release in theatres despite huge OTT offer

Director Vipul Amrutlal Shah's upcoming film Hisaab, featuring Jaideep Ahlawat, Shefali Shah, and Abhishek Singh, is set for a theatrical release despite receiving a significant offer from OTT platforms.

Filmmaker Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s heist drama Hisaab is in the works currently. The film has garnered attention since its announcement because it's yet again a bank robbery film from the director of Aankhen. While we have heard the film is now in the last phases of post-production and already witnessing a rise in demand.

The movie stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Shefali Shah and Abhishek Singh in key roles. Amid much excitement about the film’s release, an independent industry source revealed that the film will witness a theatrical release despite demand from digital platforms.

"Vipul Amrutlal Shah's Hisaab is under the final touchups of its post-production stage. The reports on the film are so impressive that a leading OTT platform has offered a whopping, astronomical amount to the makers for the direct release on OTT. However, the makers are adamant about releasing the film on the big screen as the film was started with the thought and intent to release theatrically worldwide," the source said.

Hisaab is produced by Sunshine Pictures and Jio Studios. The release date is yet to be revealed.
