A snake was spotted in the AC coach of the Jabalpur-Mumbai Garib Rath Express, causing panic amongst passengers. Railway authorities assured that the incident will be investigated.

A sense of panic erupted aboard the Jabalpur-Mumbai Garib Rath Express after a snake was discovered in one of its air-conditioned coaches. In a video that went viral on social media, the snake was seen spiralling on the handle of the upper coach of the train.

As soon as passengers learnt about the snake, panic spread through the train, and they informed railway officials.

The snake was spotted on the upper berth (23) in coach G3 while the train was travelling from Jabalpur to Mumbai. The train staff acted quickly to handle the situation and keep passengers safe.

After the snake was spotted, passengers were moved to another coach. Later, the affected coach was detached and the train was sent back to Jabalpur.

Harshit Srivastava, the Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Central Railway, said the incident has been noted and will be investigated. He stressed that passenger safety is a top priority, and the railway takes such matters seriously.
