Actor Raghava Lawrence enters Lokesh Kanagaraj's cinematic universe with Benz

Tamil filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj announced a new entry into his cinematic universe and welcomed actor Raghava Lawrence as a 'dangerous' chef in a film titled Benz. Check out the film's first-look video inside.

Tamil filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj announced his new film, titled Benz, as part of his cinematic universe (LCU). The announcement was made on Tuesday night, October 29 on the official social media handles of the director. The film stars actor Raghava Lawrence in a deadly avatar. At least that's what the first-look video suggests.

Lokesh is known for building interesting thrillers and mysteries through his LCU (Lokesh Cinematic Universe). Thalapathy Vijay, Suriya, Kamal Haasan and Karthi are already a part of his universe.

In the first-look video that is now going viral, Raghava Lawrence is seen as an intense chef holding a big gun in one hand with blood stains all over his white uniform. Lokesh also features in the video as he introduces 'Benz' to his universe. He welcomes Raghava, marking his birthday, and says, "A warrior with a cause is the most dangerous soldier. Welcome to the universe @offl_Lawrence master (sic)."

Lokesh has made three films as part of his cinematic universe so far - Kaithi, Vikram and Leo. The director has already announced the sequel to all these films, along with a standalone film about Suriya's character, Rolex, from Vikram. With Benz, he's now adding five films to LCU.

The rest of casting for Benz is underway. The film will be directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan, known for helming Remo and Sulthan in the past. Lokesh, who is the producer of the film, also provided its basic story.
