UPSC CSE Mains 2023: Reserve list unveiled, 120 candidates recommended

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has published the reserve list for the UPSC Civil Services Exam Mains 2023. Candidates who took part in the examination can view the reserve list and check their results on the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the reserve list for the Civil Services Mains Examination (CSE Mains) 2023, as requested by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).

A total of 120 candidates have been recommended, including 88 from the general category, 5 from the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 23 from the Other Backward Classes (OBC), 3 from Scheduled Castes (SC), and 1 from Scheduled Tribes (ST), to fill the remaining vacancies based on the Civil Services Examination.

The commission has stated that the candidature of 30 candidates is provisional. It also mentioned that the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) will reach out directly to the recommended candidates.

The UPSC CSE 2023 results were announced on April 16, 2024. At that time, the commission recommended 1,016 candidates for appointments to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and various other central services and Group A and Group B vacancies.

The examination was conducted to fill a total of 1,143 vacancies.
