Woman, lover kill 65-year-old man after he asks her to live together in MP

During questioning, the woman revealed that she was with the victim for his money and killed him along with her lover after he asked her to live together.

A 65-year-old retired railway employee was killed by a 35-year-old woman and her lover in Madhya Pradesh's Niwari. The woman had been in a relationship with the victim and killed him after he started pestering her to live with him.

The matter came to light after police recovered the half burnt body of the man, identified as Ghanshyam Kushwaha, on October 7. Police began scanning CCTV footage to identify the accused, noting that the body had been burnt to hide the victim's identity.

Police were able to trace the woman and her lover after scanning the footage. During questioning, the woman revealed that she was with the victim for his money and killed him with the help of her partner after he started asking her to live with him.

On the night of the incident, the two took the victim to a secluded spot where the man hit Ghanshyam with an iron rod, following which he fell unconscious. The accused burnt the victim's body to hide his identity and then escaped on his bike.

A police official revealed that over 100 CCTV cameras were scanned to identify the accused. Furthermore, he said that the police found blood-stained clothes, an iron rod, matchsticks and oil bottles at the spot.
